The role of the altar server is an important role in our Catholic Mass. The duties as an altar server include assisting the priest, lighting candles, carrying the books used at Mass, bringing the vessels to the altar, ringing bells, and saying prayers. Training is provided and 2-3 altar servers are scheduled for each Mass.
